In Event of Moon Disaster

Created with Telephone Bronco Theater Company, In Event of Moon Disaster was conceived, developed, and performed with fellow Telephone Bronco founder, Jessie Bear, with the help of Jackie Avitabile and Stefan Hartmann. The piece takes its name from a speech written by William Safire to be delivered by Richard Nixon in the event that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were stranded on the moon. The piece draws on the text of that speech as well as other found and original texts to tell the story of two people traveling abroad at the time of a “moon disaster.”
